Child Safeguarding
At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College, the safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority and we are committed to ensuring our school is a safe place for all. The College regards its child safeguarding responsibilities with the utmost importance and is committed to ensuring compliance with all relevant child protection laws and regulations and maintaining a child safe culture.
Schools are mandated child safe environments with legal and procedural requirements for all staff and volunteers. Each member of the College community has a responsibility to understand the role they play individually, and collectively, to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all students is their highest priority.
The South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) requires its schools to implement child safety policies and practices, including child safety education.
